Vehicle Data Add-On

Connected vehicle data for smarter charging decisions

AC chargers usually cannot see the vehicle’s battery level. Our optional vehicle data add-on helps close that gap for supported vehicles.

Why vehicle data matters

Without SOC data, charging systems can only estimate what the driver needs. With supported vehicle data, charging software can make better decisions based on actual battery level, range, and charging state.

Works across Home, Apartment, and Fleet Charging

The vehicle data add-on is optional and available with Home Charging, Apartment Charging, and Corporate Fleet Charging. It is only used with supported vehicles and customer-granted consent.

Powered by Smartcar

We plan to use Smartcar as our connected vehicle API integration provider. Smartcar provides a single integration across multiple vehicle brands, with customer authorization through an OAuth2-based consent flow.

Frequently asked questions

What vehicle data can 22togo use?

With supported vehicles and customer permission, 22togo can use signals such as battery level, charging state, and estimated range. Where supported, location and odometer data may also be available.

Is vehicle data available for every EV?

No. Vehicle data availability depends on vehicle make, model, year, region, OEM support, Smartcar compatibility, and customer-granted permissions.

Does vehicle data require driver permission?

Yes. Vehicle data is only used with customer-granted authorization through a consent flow.

What is battery-aware charging?

Battery-aware charging uses real vehicle battery level, range, and charging state instead of charger estimates alone to make smarter charging decisions. In AC charging, the charger usually cannot read the vehicle's state of charge directly.
